These prefilled syringes of (10% glycerine solution) filling medium are primarily for use on urological balloon catheters. 

Keep silicone catheters secured by consistent balloon volume using the Catheter Filling Medium:
  • Contains 10% glycerine in aqua solution
  • Keeps the filling volume constant
  • Easier application of catheters

The balloons of silicone balloon catheters in general allow a diffusion caused by the material. Therefore the balloon might evacuate slowly. This applies especially to nephrostomy and suprapubic balloon catheters with small filling volume. The filling medium helps to reduce any diffusion effectively due to the glycerine.
